Mom and I made sushi a while ago...sooooo good! This isn't a how-to guide, but I I'm gonna post some drool-worthy pics to encourage you to go make your own. ;)
<-----My FAVORITE knife in the whole wide world!
Step 1: Lay a sheet of nori on the bamboo & put sushi rice in the center
Step 2: Lay desired toppings on top of the rice
Step 3: Start rolling
Step 4: Add a little water to the edge of sushi to help "seal" it
Step 5: Let sit for a minute before cutting
Step 6: Cut (Don't use serrated knife!)
Step 7: Enjoy!

Pretty, easy, simple, delicious, and filling...what more could you want?! You can put whatever you want in there too....go crazy! :) I highly recommend avocado in it and a drizzle of toasted sesame oil on top. Mom likes bell peppers in hers and pickled ginger and wasabi on top. I'm getting hungry for sushi again...it might be time to make some more soon! ;)
